Alex's Love/Hate list for 2012
Fantasy Football
I have already completed over half of my Fantasy Football drafts this year. I'm starting to find some late round values I really like and some early round values I'm not too high on. I did my two annual off line drafts with my friends (yes I have friends) and I came across some players in the middle rounds I didn't think I would want on my team. But when Brandon Lloyd falls into your lap in the 6th round, the value is there, I had no choice.
The Love List
Here is a list of players I love this season due to their ADP and skill set.
Kenny Britt after the 90th pick. The upside is a top 20 receiver. The potential downside is a jail sentence.
Torrey Smith after the 80th pick. He is one of my major sleepers.
Jordy Nelson after the 40th pick. He has a number one receiver's skill set, with the best QB in the world.
Matthew Stafford after the 15th pick. There's no reason why he can't repeat last season's numbers.
Trent Richardson after the 34th pick. It gets ugly, quick, for running backs in the middle rounds.
Darren McFadden after the 16th pick. I've seen him go top 8 in a lot of mocks.
Maurice Jones-Drew after the 14th pick. He's fallen out of the first round. Don't miss this opportunity.
Since we are talking about love I want to go on a quick rant. I have met a lot of new people because of this website and I am truly blessed to have them in my life. It does not go unnoticed when people go out of their way to mention me in other articles or talk to me on Twitter. My goal was to become interactive with the website's followers. Be a "Man of the People" if you will. I read everyone's tweets and everyone's comments. I guess this is more of a thank you than anything. Now you get to see the dark side of me as I predict horrible outcomes for a handful of players this year. |
Wes Welker in the first two rounds. I think there is better values later on (A.J. Green, Nicks and Julio Jones).
Miles Austin before the 7th round. I actually have him as a fair value in the 8th round.
Tony Romo before the 6th round. He fell far in my two off line drafts. He was a backup in both leagues.
Phillip Rivers before the 8th round. Ryan Mathews will become the workhorse in that offense.
DeMarco Murray in the first round. I just don't see first round numbers from him this season.
Antonio Gates before the 7th round. I think he's slowing down and his injury concerns worry me.
