There are a lot of people who are going to disagree with me when they read this next sentence: The Indianapolis Colts will make the playoffs this year.
I know what you’re thinking: This guy is insane, there is no way the Colts make the playoffs.
Before I really researched it, I thought the same way. Look at Andrew Luck‘s last year at Stanford:

Kind of brings the phenom down a peg or two, doesn’t it ? So, why do I think the Colts will succeed this year? Initially, when you watch Andrew Luck highlight films, you see a lot of TDs in man-coverage where his TE at Stanford Coby Fleener was just too big and strong to be covered by a cornerback alone. Guess whom the Colts also drafted this year- you guessed it- Coby Fleener. Having a familiar face to throw to is an immense confidence booster for a young QB in today’s fast-paced offenses. Watching Fleener on film is similar to watching Rob Gronkowski in college, just a behemoth of an athlete with huge hands and a soft touch.

Now, you readers must be thinking big deal, that’s not enough. Well, how about this? The Colts have home games this year against some very young QBs- Christian Ponder,Blaine Gabbert,Brandon Weeden,Ryan Tannehill, and Jake Locker. That’s five of their eight home games vs. Qbs with either zero or one year experience, with two others vs. Ryan Fitzpatrick and Matt Schaub as very winnable games as well. The only really tough QB they face at home is Aaron Rodgers. Quite a nice little schedule for them wouldn’t you say? It gets better. The Colts will face two tough QBs in Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford away from home. The remaining six road games will have Jay Cutler, Mark Sanchez, Locker, Gabbert, Schaub, and Matt Cassel. In total, that’s 13 of 16 games vs. avg. or below avg. QBs.
Let’s get one thing straight. Andrew Luck is possibly the most talented QB to join the NFL since John Elway. He has an arsenal of throws with which to use, he can make the tough passes look easy, he has an aura about him on the field the likes this league has not seen in at least 20 years. He does not get rattled, he does not lose focus, he does not make stupid mistakes, and he does not quit. In other words, Andrew Luck is like The Terminator, The Terminator on a mission, a mission that will not end until the playoffs.
