| After Monday night's performance Colin Kaepernick will be on a lot of fantasy football watch lists. If you own any of the above quarterbacks I would give the Nevada-Reno Wolfpack product a look. He showed everyone why the 49ers were smart to move up in the 2nd round of the 2011 draft to take him 36th overall. Don't forget he was the first player in NCAA history to throw for 10,000 yards and rush for 4,000 more in his college career. |
Here's my advice, if Alex Smith continues to miss time Kaepernick is a must own QB. If you own a Vick, Big Ben or a second-tier QB you should pick him up. I'm always asked about picking up a QB to block other teams from claiming him, which is a good strategy only if you aren't dropping anyone with value or upside. I think Kaepernick is a good pick up but you will not win a fantasy championship with him as your starting QB.
