42 Interesting Facts from the NBA season

The NBA season has finally come to an end. After a late start, due to the strike, the league decided on playing 66 games in four months time. There wasn't a lot of surprises this year, the favorites entering the strike shortened season finished with the top seeds in the playoffs. Now your probably wondering why I decided to go with 42 interesting facts. Honestly, I just picked a random number in the hopes that you would read my article, if you're reading this it clearly worked. Without any further ado here is my 42 interesting facts of the 2012 NBA season.

1. Kevin Durant won the NBA scoring title with 28 points per game. Kobe finished with 27.9, he would have needed 38 to overtake Durant in the season finale but coach Mike Brown sat Kobe so he would be rested before the playoffs started. That's Durant's 3rd scoring title in a row.

2. Tyson Chandler finished the season with a 67.9 shooting percentage from the field. He was number one in the league with that percentage. He shot 70.9% at home at MSG.

3. Steve Novak led the league with a 47.1 shooting percentage from behind the arc.
